Thank you for visiting the Operation:GUSE website. We very much appreciate your interest in helping others. Operation:GUSE is a volunteer driven ministry support team based in Pensacola, Florida. Our team collects outgrown soccer equipment aka GUSE (gently used soccer equipment) to ship to Missionary Coach Fraga DaRosa in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Your GUSE will be used for a much needed community soccer outreach in a depressed area of the city, that he and his family have devoted themselves to. We are extremely interested in your outgrown cleats, jerseys, shorts and shin guards that are in new or practically new condition. Our rule of thumb is that if the gear is in good enough shape to hand down to a valued friend, it is considered GUSE. We definitely consider Coach Fraga a friend and are delighted to be given this opportunity to show him support.

Coach Fraga

Fraga DaRosa played professional soccer for over 10 years in Brazil. He owns the very popular Brazilian Pro Soccer Clinics (see pics in our gallery) after he ended his professional career. He has worked with many local soccer clubs and organizations and helped develop many promising players in the Pensacola area. As a dynamic and passionate coach, he has positively influenced the lives of many young men and women (not to mention their parents) by serving as a strong Christian role model.

Fraga, along with his wife Susan and their three children, has returned to Southern Brazil to work in an underprivileged area of Porto Alegre – a city with an immediate population of 1.5 million and over 4 million in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre. Know that your “American cleats” will make an unbelievable impression on an underprivileged child who normally plays barefoot. We are sometimes guilty of taking our soccer equipment, as well as our lifestyle, for granted here in the United States. Operation:GUSE gives us the opportunity to greatly bless a child or youth player with items that we don't use anymore.

Please clean out your closet for Christ!

Then take your GUSE to the closest official Donation Drop Site. Find an official DONATION DROPSITE on our Page Menu (located above in blue) to find a convenient location to drop off your Gently Used Soccer Equipment.

If you need a contact or would like more information, you may find a ROSTER OF AREA TEAM CAPTAINS and contact info on the same blue menu above. Note: We are always looking for responsible Team Leaders to be our contacts at area Soccer Clubs and Rec Programs. If you have a heart for this kind of ministry support, please contact us.

Our goal is to collect practically new gear at established drop sites throughout Pensacola and the surrounding area. Our need is to enlist a Team Leader from each soccer organization to be a contact for Operation GUSE. Our hope is to send over huge shipments of GUSE for the DaRosas to use in their ministry. Contact us if you want to be a part of this winning team and contribute your time and energy or a Donation Drop Site location.
